Please be Discreet! Questions about Confidentiality

Clients often (understandably) ask for assurance that the investigation they are requesting remain completely confidential. As licensed P.I.s, we have a specific duty to our client to maintain the confidentiality of their case. That includes the nature of the investigation, the identity of the subject of the investigation and, of course, the identity of the client. We could have our license pulled by the state if we violate that trust. Even if we are approached by law enforcement (or should we choose to check in with them prior to a surveillance), we never reveal any specifics of the case beyond, "I am conducting a legal surveillance in the 600 block of Elm St." In short, as former spies, we are VERY good at keeping secrets!
