Regarding what we call a "missing person search", don't get too hung up on the definition. A missing person, at least in our world, is not just the classic example that most people envision of a runaway teenager. To us, a missing person is anyone whose current whereabouts you don't know and would like to find out. It could be a long-lost love, a relative, a debtor, a former classmate, a deadbeat dad/mom, an old army buddy, a potential witness in a legal case, a biological parent/child, an heir or a parental kidnapping victim. Clients sometimes insist, "They aren't a missing person, I just don't know where they are." To us, that's "missing".
